Safety

At KAS Kopenhagen, safety is a fundamental part of our design and production process. Children and parents should feel safe in everyday life, which is why all our furniture is tested and safety approved to meet current European requirements for safety, strength, and durability.

Our products undergo thorough testing at independent testing institutes – both nationally and internationally. The tests include, among other things, stability, construction, material strength, as well as health and environmental impact. We also test for the emission of potentially harmful substances from painted and lacquered surfaces and from the materials we use, including wood and MDF.

We use only lacquer and paint that are free from toxic chemicals and meet strict requirements for children’s products. All our furniture complies with relevant European standards and regulations and also meets applicable REACH requirements for chemical safety.

Through ongoing quality control, documented testing, and continuous product development, we ensure that our furniture meets high standards of safety, functionality, and long durability – for the benefit of children, parents, and the environment.
